About teacher signup:

When you sign up for Chalksite as a teacher, you start off on the Free plan. You can stay on the Free plan as long as you'd like or upgrade to a paying plan later on.

To your right, you'll find an abbreviated chart of the teacher subscription plans. Each plan also includes unlimited Messages, Assignments, Discussions, Gradebooks, and Website pages based upon the number of subscribed students and file storage.
